The RTE band FLYING BLIND was a super performance at the Canyon Inn....There is a possibility that KLOS may be interested ...since their Program Director just resigned...92.7 has sent a phone call of inquiry directly to Mike Morrison...

We have the other refuge for Yellow Roomers at the Firefly. The cool thing about that room, YR2, is that there is a flow of new people coming in. It's also a problem sometimes. There's a group of bulletin boards and a live chat as well. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it's fun once you get the hang of all the features. One of the boards is for concert and upcoming gig info; another for general info; one for nicole; and a few other specialized boards. Go to firefly.com and join...most of thr rest of us have. Kinda like a two-for-one deal.

Hi Folks, I understand that business is business and that the Autry's felt that they needed to move onto other things. Id like to first thank Autry family for being so willing to support such a format as KSCA's. I think that we all owe them our gratitude. What's done is done so Id just like to say thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make KSCA what it was for two and half years. While your presence in the greater LA will be sorely missed I appreciate the fact that we were all treated to such a proffesional high quality station. I believe that we listeners owe the entire staff a hearty thanks for their loving service to the music community.I hope that we find you all somewhere else on the fm dial. Good luck to you all and a million thanks for adding some quality to our lives. Dave Lewis

I just returned from the gathering in the KSCA parking lot. Nicole and Terry spoke. Lots of news crews were there! Couldn't stick around until 8 pm, though. Sorry. Thank you to Shu Shu and all the other rally organizers who put it together. It took a trmendous amount of work in equal parts with commitment. Congratulations! And thank you for offering us this mode of saying "Thank You!"

Wow thats some speil- great words-KSCA became what it is through word of mouth- and it can be done again. AAA will take off again!!!

Upoverdwn@aol.com
HI: i would like to know if there is any substance to the speculation that the format may find a new home on 95.5 or 92.7. Iread this morning that the current music director at KLOS left the station because he and the Program director couldnt agree on what changes the station has to make to the format to be an contender. LOOKING FOR TRUTH:

Listners seem to be coming out of the webwork after lurking for months, looking for info on whats happening with the best radio station in LA. Having read all the Previous & Current chat, I'd like to say/ask: 1) WEBMASTER: is yellowroom sponsor above, working correctly? I get "no data on page" message. 2) It seems that the regulars in the room, knowingly or not, come accross as (in the lightest way) clique-ish and a bit intimidating to those that are/have been lurking. Many listners lurk because they are uncomfortable posting what is likely their first attempts at chatting. So, please be patient while we get up to speed. Many started reading yellowroom when they needed more info on the untimely demise of KSCA. Although, I must say, requests for info. have been always responded too. Just seems to me that if over the following weeks an attempt is made at making yellowroom more discussionary accessible, more will join in. 3) It is obvious that those who post regularly have been working very hard to continue the legacy KSCA is leaving behind. For that, All listners thank you. Not all want, rightly or not, to go thru eons of hours of previous chats to catch on, though they love, support, and enjoy (till TUEsday) KSCA. Maybe an abrideged 'current threads' may help draw more people into the conversations; which should be the ultimate goal of this forum. Bringing all manner of ideas, opinions, and suggestions waiting for the pheonix to rise again. Apperantly, the demographics of the listners is very wide. It goes from some who seem to be Teens, to the over Forty Boomers. This is the most desirable demograf. for advertisers. If listners can be pulled into participation, the greater the chance of demonstrating to possible acquirers of the format, that KSCA did indeed form large/devoted/musically astute village of unity that, when identified to each other as KSCAers, have a bond and sense meeting a kindred spirit. And that their support for the station translates into support for advertisers.(boy, thats long-winded) :)don't need anyone to second that!:) 4) When the format rises again, and it will, I hope it will have better signal strenght. Not even with powered antennae could I get consistent, clear sound in the car, house, work throughout town. (COOL! John Lee & Santana is on!) 5) Maybe along with a summary chat area, updated the listners who are following the thread every couple of days, a static registry of listners attending the YellowRoom could be posted for self-description, name, e-mail, mental-state, so on. That would personalize our village more. 6)Create a URL drop-off for listners to easily and more permanently suggest their best finds. 7)Hopefully I've not *issed anyone off. Not my intention. Just trying everything I can think of to save the only station format that found, exposed, and supported all manner of Artist. Almost all that started off on KSCA have been picked up by locals, 98.7, and nationally. BTW, can the reocrd companies that have so greatly benefitted from the exposure afforded by KSCA, be approached to collectively support a free format station with continued impartial play lists? What if a fee, proportional to the company ability to pay, could be collected and listner contributions and annual 'subscriptions' raised quarterly through radio-a-thons to create a commercial-public-advertising-station? Maybe even a board of representatives from each 'faction'. WHOA!!. I originally only had one request of the faithful, hard working regular posters to yellowroom. But, how can you not get fired up and creative with free-flow ideas listening to these sets!!. FINAL (and original) request of the WEBMASTER and listeners: Until we are fortunate enough to get another world class music station going, could someone maintain a log of great new/old bands, songs, coming concerts, events etc.., (a la KSCA musical lines and style)? Many, most of whom listened only to KSCA, will become out of touch with inspiring new talent. Personally, I could only listen to the radio during the commute. In that span of time you usually can't get info or hear the one or two times a new discovery is played; or great Alternative concerts come to perform in the area. This hopefully will keep the spirit of KSCA living until we can get our utopian station back on the air. Yeah, its a long post but I had to vent. The feeling of being cast adrift in a mindless, commercialized, intellectually vacuous sea of noise and commentary that currently, and has always, been the greater part of LA and national radio fromats. Hope it helps. IT HELPED ME! Thnx

Gary Lycan's Sunday Column - OC Register - 2-2-97 KSCA goes Spanish on Wednesday On TV, "Storm Watch" means the latest weather updates. The radio version tracks the black clouds swirling around KSCA/101.9 FM as the hour nears for it's switch from adult alternative music to Spanish. Listeners have been expecting the change any day now, since Heftel Broadcasting Corp. - owner of KLVE and KTNQ - announced it was aquiring the station and extending it's commitment to Spanish speaking residents by putting on another Spanish format. As of midweek, it was believed the change would occur Feb.1. The company, however, gave 101.9 FM a slight reprieve. According to Richard Heftel, president, the change will occur Tuesday with the station expected to go dark for a few hours early Wednesday, returning later that day in a Spanish format. " The new format will be Mexican regional and I really don't want to say more about it than that, except to say I won't be supprised it it becomes the No.1 station in Los Angeles. I think we'll have the top two stations," he said, referring to No.1 rated KLVE. "We'll be No.1 and No.1A; let's put it that way." Meanwhile 101.9 FM listeners are chatting on the Website - www.ksca.com - and commiserating about the loss of their station's music and pledging the radio "family" will stay together after the station signs off. Two unofficial, ( nonstation-sponsored) events are scheduled : a 2 p.m. rally today (Sunday) at KSCA, 6767 Forrest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles; and a free "Farewell To FM 101.9" concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Doug Weston's Troubadour, 9081 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood. KCRW/89.9 FM took out newspaper ads urging 101.9 listeners to "sample the eclectic mix" on KCRW. " Whenever a door closes, another opens," the ad said, beckoning fans to tune in Chris Douridas, Tom Schnabel, Jason Bentley and Tricia Halloran. Douridas was at one time courted by KSCA but decided to stay at noncommercial KCRW, the flagship station for National Public Radio in Southern California. KYSR program director Angela Perelli wants KSCA fans, too. "It's hard to see a station go away that supports a lot of up-and-coming artists. We hope KSCA fans will come to KYSR to hear muic from Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Dave Matthews and other artists we have shared," she said. I WANT THESE ILLEGAL ATTEMPTS TO STEAL PROPRIETARY INFORMATION TO STOP! My personal attorney says I can recoup punitive damages for attemped theft and vandalism... and if this continues, I will!! I have about 22 hours on tape that I can listen to for the first time later. I'll be at the rally Sunday and at the party on Wewdnesday. Thanks to all KSCA staff and personnel for 2 1/2 great years! Also thanks to everyone here in the YR's for all their hard work and dedication! I hope this room stays alive so we can introduce new music to each other.

Does anyone realize how much we ALREADY miss, even WITH a station as good as KSCA? It's unbelievable. Wknmara: Fri Jan 31 13:52:53 PST 1997 - Hello and Thanks to KSCA
Wknmara@aol.com
Hello! I just posted my first message on the KSCA conference room board and saw the website address for this room. I'll reiterate my thanks to KSCA for bringing southern california its best music. I would hope that there are some people in the radio business out there who would value the demographics of KSCA's listeners, but maybe I'm wrong. I'll have to go back to listening to tapes in the car and CD's at home to hear the music I like. Could you repeat how to access the flyer for Sunday's rally? Thanks. Valerie

steph: Fri Jan 31 13:42:08 PST 1997 - Webmaster!!!

Thanks for getting that set up. We appreciate it.

WEBMASTER: Fri Jan 31 13:32:37 PST 1997 - Spoke too soon...

STEPH: I'm getting the page set up now - give me about 15 minutes - you little speed demon, you [grin]! as far as the clock - It only seems to work on the first page, but disappears when you post or update... Damn I hate software glitches.... Still working on it! (Hey, half a clock is better than no clock, right??)

Some obnoxious personage in the KSCA room was claiming Spanish language radio doesn't dominate the dial. Well, maybe not, but look at our choices (or lack of) for OUR type of music: LA Metro Area (I eliminated Talk/News and Religious): Spanish: KKHJ, KWKW (AM), KBUE, KMQA, KLAX, KLVE, KVAR(AM), KXED(AM), KTNQ. Anglo: Adult Contemp-KBIG, KEZY, KOST, KTWV, KYSR, KXEZ (soft); Alternative-KSCA (soon to be Spanish), KROQ; Contemporary Hits (Top 40)-KIIS, KPWR; Album Rock-KLOS; Nostalgia/Oldies-KLAC(AM), KCBS, KRTH, KRLA; Rhythm & Blues-KACE, Classical-KKGO; Country-KIKF, KYKF, KZLA, KTPI.

ACME -- Thanks for the kind words. I mentioned her before, but I'll plug her again -- Lynn Miles, a Canadian has a disc on Philo called "Slightly Haunted." Outstanding. Voice is in the Shawn Colvin neighborhood and her stuff is extremely melodic. Only complaint, and it's a slight one, is that her Joni influence is a little heavy. If you're going to borrow, borrow from the best.

PSB: Thu Jan 30 19:38:53 PST 1997 - oops

meant 'paying attention listening.' guess i wasn't paying enough attention...

PSB: Thu Jan 30 19:37:26 PST 1997 - ACME

Sounds like lots o' button pushing! "Can't we all just get along"?? Like, can't there be just one good station in LA, so we don't have to rely on the stupid (corporate) whims of others?? Like, it's easier to just 'set it n' forget it' at work; @'93-'94 'boss' wanted Rush Limbaugh in the AM, but at noon when you weren't paying listening that Dr. Laura would come on and it was like fingernails on a blackboard to me! Music sets the mood, and it's nice to have some consistency...that's why I prefer one station where possible...

"Blood-n-gore-n-guts-in-my teeth eatin' dead burnt bodies" Ha!! Alice's Resturant was one of my very first albums! My Dad went bullistic!! Almost smashed it - X Marie Corp. and all :) , man his crew-cut in the late 60's early 70's embarressed me! My friends thought my dad was a narc. ha! Crew-cut, blonde trench coat, and ray ban sunglasses. Ugggg. OK so Arlo G. has been a "hero" of mine since my early teens! When's that? Where's the Ashgrove? Santa Monica? Yea, I was one of the few raving about Keb Mo's since the gate too. yea, the entire Music Library! In one word AWESOME! Not my personal libary however... I have been painstakingly putting together a database with songtitles - up to the letter "g" now., 3400 titles w/ music/lyrics/performed by etc.... That's part of my job!!! fun!! learning lots and lots!

Wait. THE WHOLE Disney Music Department Library?

ACME: Thu Jan 30 18:24:45 PST 1997 - Diana

I discovered Keb' Mo' on KSCA when they played his whole album. And Shaun Mason was raving about it. So, actually, I just picked it up recently. I'm kinda on a acoustic bluesy, folkie ..kinda rockie thing. I'm actually gonna go see Arlo Guthrie at the Ash Grove Saturday.

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 18:24:12 PST 1997 - ACME

Yorba Linda's somewhere off in boo-f*&%-egypt right?! :) Hope he has a whole slew of yellow-roomers groupafying over him today. I'll let you know about "Shine."

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 18:21:33 PST 1997 - ACME

So Keb Mo's first cd was self-titled - accoustic- believe won a grammy, Steve in our Music Library says it came out in 92/93. That's probubly right, hmmmmm I thought I got it down at the cool record store on 3rd st. Prominade 2 summers ago... time flys. That was good too. Loved listening to 'Just Like You' today.

ACME: Thu Jan 30 18:20:34 PST 1997 - Diana

So we're on the same wave-length :) Yea, I have Keb Mo's last cd, can't remember the name of it. Came out Christmas in late 94/early/95? ' that the one? I'll have to look it up. Thanks for checking into Lanois. Been butchering the spelling of his name and all kinds of stuff., apologies!

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 18:08:30 PST 1997 - KEB MO'S 'JUST LIKE YOU'

I know I spoke of it earlier today, but my boss and I just had to listen to KEB MO'S 'JUST LIKE ME' one more time before calling it a night. What an incredibly moving song. JB & Bonnie sing back-up too! ACME> What cd of Daniel Lanouis is 'Death of a Train' on? Do you know? Gonna go see "SHINE" tonight afterwork w/ a friend. Busy day it'll feel good to sit in a comfortable chair in the theatre and see a good movie!

I love the Keb' Mo' album "Just Like You". I'm looking for his first album which is self titled. It waon a grammy. Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne show up on a bunch of great blues people's stuff. Taj Mahal is on the same album. I'll have to check the Daniel Lanois song. I have both his albums and like him as a performer and producer very h.......there is a guest DJ on the air now....the president of Reprise Records.....playing some great stuff..at the moment the Allman Brother's "Statesboro Blues"..I do like this song and this version..I'll get back to you Diana.

I don't live in the valley. KCRW in the am til noon....KLOS until 8pm.then 8pm to midnight with KPPC...?

: Thu Jan 30 17:55:08 PST 1997 -

PSB: Thu Jan 30 17:53:52 PST 1997 - KCRW

nothing against KCRW, just it doesn't come in too well in parts of the SF Valley, and it's not a full-time music station. figure a commercial station would be in a better position to just 'adopt' a format if the advertising money came with it as a package. but it could just be me as well, remembering getting real p.o'd with the varying signal quality and programming when i tried to get KXLU from above Pasadena a few years ago (and getting real jealous of my friend who got KSPC-Claremont College real clear all the time).

So this is where people are talking.....when I went to check out the article-someone had snaked the Calendar section right out of it!

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 16:04:01 PST 1997 - KYLE

I beg to differ. What about all the press KSCA has had? Anddddd if you had seen today's spread I think you'd feel different - 2 full pages w/ photos!! They quote diffent DJ's and fans., and this is the LA TIME CALENDER SECTION and Nicole's picture is on the front page!!! I'd consider that LA's media standing at attention wouldn't you? Remember Gary Lycans' article acouple months back in the Register? As far as why the Orange County division of the Times choosing NOT to run the article you know as much as I do. Editors choice? Some big shin-dig down at the amplithere in costa mesa? who knows!

Hey re: the book(s) I spoke of at Perq's., the complete title to the one is: "A FINE ROMANCE the passage of courship from meeting to marriage" by Judith Sills, PH.D, awesome insight. Got sooooo much out of this book. Anddddd wish I had read further into "MEN ARE FROM MARS/WOMEN FROM VENUS" eons ago! Ugggg, now I get it!! Oh well, never to late to learn/understand better myself and partner(s). Good reading in any case! Check out Fine Romance for sure!! Happy reading babydoll. Oh, and the new one from last weekend that's incredible is called "CONVERSTIONS WITH GOD".... too good I'm telling you!!! You can buy them all at any Crown for a better price.

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 14:20:18 PST 1997 - LA TIME CALENDAR SECTION!

Hey there's a great article in today's times on KSCA! Quotes from Nic-Mike& Mimi too! Maybe this will spur some stations interest!!! There are real live loyal listerns out there w/ some buckeroos! Whatever poll they used said they had many listeners in their 30's & 40's w/ yearly income's over 100K a year. Good article, I'm gonna save it. Maybe I can get a T'shirt Wednesday nite., I hope! Hey, anyone tape the HOWARD JONES from the concert hall the other night? I'd love to have a copy., AND what's the name of his live CD from a few years back. Awesome piano! My kinda playin'... Yea, when was it ... earlier this week it was raining, maybe monday am, really hard. I'm at a light that always has giant puddles (have to remember to roll up your window or get sopped! :) and a BIG YELLOW SCHOOL BUS pulls on the right, I think they're gonna turn rite and the jump out into the intersection cutting infront of about 8 or 9 cars and I laughed out load. honest! Big change for me I'm telling you. Oh, and they created this huge WAVE that just splattered everyone they passed. Then I see that the bus driver is all alone, no kiddies, then I really laugh., at myself 'cause it's really "funny" how this would have just flipped me rite out only acouple months ago. You're way ahead of me. I still call them really nasty names when they do it to me on Sunland Blvd. Specially when right after they blow by you, they slow down in front of you to turn right! So...are you going to stop by the station this Sunday?

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 10:49:45 PST 1997 - I noticed....

Does anyone remember me ranting last fall about one of my "past" pet-peeves re: when people would pull up along side on the right at a stop-light and then zoom infront of a line of cars, cutting off the first car in line. I would get really pissed off. Well, maybe due to all the meditation? but, it's happened all around me this week and last and I could give a shit! :) really, hmmmmmm. I like this new "calm" Diana. It happened again this morning and I just smirked thinking how it used to feel., today it was oh yea, big deal... later!!!

Diana D.: Thu Jan 30 10:40:41 PST 1997 - 'JUST LIKE YOU'

This morning my boss comes flying in the office and rushes over to the stereo, turning on KSCA, followed w/ "Oh Shit! I missed the title of the song!!" I'm like "What song?" as Anita's giving an intro into Robbie R. in the background... I called Anita, finally reaching her we find out it was KEB MO and we have it here in our office., it's a song - same as the CD title called JUST LIKE YOU. Awesome song. We put it on and both LOVE IT!!! As it's playing I'm yelling "That's BONNIE RAITT singing, and that's JACKSON BROWNE !!!" Hey, were listening to this cd as I type and it's incredible. Brought up lots of good feelings...especially after getting to see both Bonnie & Jackson many times live this past fall. Good, good tune if you haven't heard it, please do. She's playing it again for another co-worker :) Thanks to Anita for helping us out w/ the title so graciously! I'm gonna really, really miss this station. BTW, I really enjoyed the interview w/ the WALLFLOWERS keyboard player the other day at lunchtime, he played a great song from Danael Lanious called 'DEATH OF A TRAIN' , gonna try to find that CD maybe this weekend. ACME do you know the title? Couldn't find it in our libary.

WE ARE GOING TO GATHER AT THE STATION (DIRECTIONS TO FOLLOW SOON) AND SIGN A PETITION AND CARD OF THANKS TO KSCA. THIS WILL BE PRESENTED TO THEM ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5 AT THE TROUBADOUR. Come don't come it's up to you. A newsletter will be sent out soon. Thanks guys. Those who want to help distribute flyers contact, Ms.T, Jay, or myself. Will get them out as soon as we can

Diana D.: Wed Jan 29 15:38:26 PST 1997 - I'm bummed

I wake up w/ KSCA as my alarm., what am I gonna do?! Uggg! This morning I woke up to somebody babbeling in spanish and I jumped up thinking almost outloud...! "Oh my God, they've done it already" . Then I leaned over and noticed that one of my cats had fliped the switch from fm to am. Ugggg. A horrible glimpse of what to come I'm gathering in the very near future???!! And if Stephs right, it could be alot sonner than we all thought. A sad day in LA radio indeed!

suz: Wed Jan 29 14:15:14 PST 1997 - Newbies

Steph: There's tons of new people coming in KSCA's room now that the station's going off the air asking what they can do. Is anyone e-mailing them Shu's newsletters? RedRaven posted an e-mail address. I don't want to step on any toes here.

PSB: Wed Jan 29 14:11:49 PST 1997 - pass this along...

just faxed a note to the Amaturo group (92.7 owners) about picking up AAA, gave them Mike M's number at the station. so let them know they might get a call, or they might consider calling them themselves at 954-565-1411. the DOJ was extrememly tight-lipped today, I've got (someone else's) attorney working on it, but no answers yet as of 5pm EST today. (speculation) if this rumor proves true, may mean Heftel wants to get their format's 'foot' in the door prior to DOJ decision. there has been some 'heat' put on the DOJ by at least one (confirmed) Congressional staff (Roybal-Allard).

suz: Wed Jan 29 14:04:18 PST 1997 - Steph

Y'know, we've been prepared, but it's still a nasty feeling. No more KSCA! Is anyone from the (former) station going to be at the rally?

steph: Wed Jan 29 13:59:26 PST 1997 - Since it doesn't really matter what the FUCK we say in here....
...here it goes.
I spoke with nicole a few minutes ago. She asked when we plan to do the rally. I told her the 8th. She said that they were finding out the last day at this time. Could be tonight or tomorrow. But no later than Saturday. She didn't mention anything about the live remote. (she was pressed for time. w/ dada being there, I understand.) So who knows. ALl I know is I'm going to be in a pissy mood for the rest of the weekend.

steph: Wed Jan 29 11:51:29 PST 1997 - Suz

suz: Wed Jan 29 11:45:51 PST 1997 - Steph

No sweat. BTW, go over to the original room and read Shaun's post. I think we all misunderstood him (as usual, in my case). He'll be there! Hey, are you at home today? Could I give you a call? Easier to talk than type everything.

steph: Wed Jan 29 11:05:14 PST 1997 - SUZ...
Where are you?
I just wanted to thank you for what you said in the other room. I (and I'm sure Shu will) appreciate it. As soon as we get the flyers together with all the details finalized I'll get them to you. I think that if we donj't hold it at the park, we'll probably just do it at the station. THe first few times I spoke with nicole, she said that wouldn't be a problem. I'm going to try to get in touch with her and others at the station today.

steph: Wed Jan 29 11:01:24 PST 1997 -

Are you and Laura going to the Troub next Wednesday? I'm hoping to see everyone from here, there. I'm not sure how I'm going to make it there. I start one of my classes on that day and it's scheduled from 4-6:45pm. If I know the professor, I'll be able to work it out so that I can leave class around 5 or 5:30p. But, I'll be there. How could I miss it?

Thomas: I could set up a persistent cookie to show who's logged in, but I didn't because I didn't want the lurkers to feel like we were invading their privacy - and so that you all can't tell how much time I'm actually in here... [grin]. It could be done, but you would also be limited to ONE screen name - no more "dustpan Hank" or Milk Carton Kid or the like. I think anonymity makes it a little more... shall we say, colorful?

PSB: Tue Jan 28 19:11:42 PST 1997 - 92.7

Here, I can say what's actually going on! (Gotta be careful on the 'other' board!) Talked to the corporate parent of 92.7, got the 'assistant' (safer word than 'Secretary' these days) to the owner, and after I gave her the Arbitron statistics (#1 demographic $100K+ households in LA) she was INTERESTED! How this translates into results it's still too early to say, but I did give her Mike Morrison's phone number at KSCA. (So I'm a little disappointed if Mike's already given it up for KCRW, as my initial impression of their signal is it's too weak to reach the outlying LA suburb areas). I'm also writing up a 'teaser' report/proposal indicating KSCA's strengths for 92.7's owners, but then the problem will be manuevering the 'introduction' between the two parties--ie, who calls who first? Protocol has it that the Program Director would approach the owner with the 'pitch,' rather than the other way around. Furthermore, there's the issue of what happens to the current 92.7 staff if this does go through, and so on, and so on, etc. Lotsa work to do, bye...

The last couple weekends I drove down to my favorite spot up the the Santa Monica Mtns. up above Malibu and I cried. The entire hill where I hiked had been burnt to a crisp. Everything gone., except, brand new beautiful shoots of green, green grass. I've read that certain seeds/pods that have been buried sometimes for up to 100 years or more are brought back to life with a fire. So, I do understand mother nature and that these fires have been taking place as a part of the natural cycle of life for centuries without any help from man. I know too that all this ran has been a blessing for those places effected w/ the fires earlier. They'll be greener than ever, it's already happening :)
